THE WHAT? Clinique has teamed up with Kate Spade to launch a nostalgic lip gloss collection that harks back to the early 2000s, an era that is currently trending on TikTok, according to a report published by Glossy.
THE DETAILS The Clinique x Kate Spade New York Pop Plush Creamy Lip Gloss collection will launch worldwide on June 1 in four shades, packaged in Spade’s signature prints. TikTok and Instagram have been named as the major marketing channels for the collab.
THE WHY? Charlotte Warshaw, Vice President of Americas for Wholesale, Travel Retail and Global Licensing at Kate Spade New York, told Glossy that one of the unique things about Kate Spade is everyone remembers their first Kate Spade wallet or bag. “When we started talking about beauty, Clinique was that for us… It was the same thing, where you remember that first product.”
