THE WHAT? Following an investment from Puig in September last year, Kama Ayurveda has made its debut on the UK market, according to a report published by the Economic Times. The Indian wellness brand has launched its D2C website and will cut the ribbon on a bricks and mortar store in London this fall.
THE DETAILS The brand will launch with 32 SKUs and shoppers as the Central London base will be able to consult an ayurvedic doctor.
THE WHY? Sahni told the Economic Times, “Our e-commerce platform in the UK will immerse consumers into the brand and customers will be able to experience our iconic ranges as well as an educational content on the ancient yet codified science of Ayurveda.
We always had a presence in the global market via our India-specific website, however, launching the brand in the UK means that the products will now be shipped from the UK as well. Now we have a warehouse in the UK.”
