THE WHAT? L’Oréal has announced Caring 4 Beauty as the winner of its Brandstorm 2023 contest. The French team’s URMODEL concept scooped the top prize in the global, immersive learning competition for youth aged under 30.
THE DETAILS The final saw 10 teams from around the world compete for the title, each pitching their AR, VR, AI and metaverse-inspired beauty concepts to the Brandstorm executive jury.
URMODEL aims to deliver a hyper-personalised shopping experience by allowing anyone with a mobile phone to see themselves as the model on the French beauty giant’s e-commerce sites.
THE WHY? URMODEL was deemed to be the most innovative, tech-driven, sustainable, inclusive and feasible among the finalists’ concepts. Jean Claude Le Grand, Chief Human Relations Officer, L’Oréal Groupe, added, “Each year, Brandstorm provides a unique learning opportunity, recognized with EOCCS certification and providing 100,000 people around the world with insight into career opportunities at L’Oréal. Brandstorm is an integral part of our Groupe, reinforcing both our employer brand and L’Oréal’s global ranking as the fifth most preferred company among students.”
